It can be mounted several ways on your cross slide for catching dust with your vacuum cleaner The pictures show various ways it can attach to the toolpost and cross slide to catch dust when cutting rings, or trimming ferrules and such. It comes with two mounting screws and a square nut. The overhead method is achieved by tapping a 10-32 hole in the side of a tool post. It has an adapter hole for your vacuum hose that is 1.75″ inside diameter and 2 inch outside diameter. A few rounds of electrical tape should be able to size match it to adapt to your hose.
